Farewell, Mang Dolphy

“When you were born you were crying and everyone else was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone else is crying.”

“It is not the length of life, but the depth.”

~ Ralph Waldo Emerson

These words particularly reminds me of a man, the country’s Comedy King, Rodolfo Vera Quizon; Mang Dolphy.  For me, his was a life well-lived, for he breathed what he loved to do; he made millions of people happy and he knows how to love and give love.  He is known for his generosity and no one can match the laughter he’d given to the Filipino people for decades.  Truly, if laughter is the best medicine, we’ve lost the best doctor in town.

Thank you, Sir Dolphy!  We will miss you and the days when you effortlessly made us smile and burst with laughter, sa pagtuturo sa amin na tawanan ang mga problema, ngitian ang mga nega at kahit pa anong pagsubok ang dumating, huwag mawalan ng pag-asa at manatiling masaya,, dahil masarap ang mabuhay.  ☻☻☻

Your memory will remain in our hearts  forever.  ♥
